What is Biz & Raft Networking all about?
- Forward One's "Business and Rafting" started as a unique alternative for business people to network. It has since been expanded to include nonprofits, start ups, and anyone who serves in a leadership position.
- It creates an active adventurous environment that brings people together in a way that a routine breakfast meeting can not.
- We spend a few hours in a raft shooting the rapids on the Arkansas River and then eat lunch together by the river while participating in a leadership development discussion/presentation.
- I purposely keep these events small in order to help you get the most out of each session.
- Here is how you benefit:
- Fun and adventure.
- Shared experiences and new friendships.
- Business contacts to help you solve problems.
- Education to help you and your organization grow.
- Bonus follow up coaching to help you apply what you learn.

Are You a licensed River Outfitter?
Journey Quest is a licensed river outfitter in the state of Colorado and has a special use agreement to operate on the Arkansas River. I (Dwight) have 10 seasons of professional guiding experience and another 10 seasons of private rafting experience and am a certified guide/guide instructor in the state of CO. All commercial trips that I lead are conducted through Journey Quest.
Can you handle larger groups? Id love to bring my entire team!
Absolutely! If you had a great time and you want to bring a larger group, Journey Quest can help you pull that off. They can easily handle groups of up to 80 or more at a time. To organize a group go here to get all the information you will need.
What Makes this trip different?
Anyone in reasonable health can go river rafting. What makes this unique is that we are rafting with the express purpose of helping you accomplish your business objectives. Instead of renting an offsite venue, the river serves as our meeting place and I (Dwight) act as captain and facilitator for the day.
Is it safe?
In a word, No.
But...
It's good fun adventure!
I have been leading rafting trips for over 20 years and have never had a serious accident.
I have been through both Rescue 3 and American Canoe Association (ACA) Swiftwater Rescue training and was an ACA instructor for over 5 years. I am also a certified raft guide trainer in the state of Colorado.
While the river is wild and "stuff" can happen, I make your safety a top priority.

Can Beginners Participate?
Absolutely! We provide training along the way and you will be surprised by how quickly you learn to paddle as a team with your fellow crew members. About half of our rafters have never been before.
